Biography

Annalisa Pellegrini graduated in Piano and Opera Singing at the Institute Mus. Par. “Giulia Briccialdi” of Terni. He obtained the International Master in Choir Conducting of Sacred Music with full marks in 2002, the Second Level Academic Diploma in Baroque Singing under the guidance of Alto Gloria Banditelli and the Degree in Choral Music and Choir Direction at the “Morlacchi Conservatory “Of Perugia.
He studied singing with Emma Kirkby, Katia Ricciarelli and Luciana Serra; continuing his specialization with Maestro Robert Kettelson, at the Opera Bastille in Paris and with Maestro Elio Battaglia at the Mozarteum in Salzburg.
Specialized in Ancient Music and Sacred Music, she was among the first women to perform as a soloist for official events in the Vatican City, she sang for the Popes John Paul II, Benedict XVI and Pope Bergoglio, recorded on Vatican TV and RAI.
At the same time he specializes in Infantile Vocality with M ° C. Boldy, professor at New College of Oxford, and deepens the studies of Ancient Roman Chant, Medieval Lauda, Primitive Polyphony, Flemish Polyphony and Fratto Singing with M ° Bartolucci, Lovato, Bovi , Baroffio, Ziino and Gregorian Chant at the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music.
Among his various works he conducted the opera in scenic form for young soloists, children’s choir and piano “Chip and his Dog” by Giancarlo Menotti, performed on the occasion of the Menottian Year at the Caio Melisso Theater in Spoleto; in Rome the first national performance of “Italique” opera for narrator, solos, children’s choir and plucked ensemble composed by Francois Laurent for the event “Les Jours de France in Rome”; in Paris, at the Auditorium del Conservatoire Ravel, the world premiere of the “Tu es Petrus” series of unpublished Roman compositions of the ‘700 for which she carried out, as the first female researcher, studies from the archive of the Giulia Chapel in Rome published for the Colligite Fragmenta necklace.
He holds singing and choir conducting masterclasses in Italy and abroad.
Among the productions as a solo soprano she includes first performances including the unpublished oratorio by Antonio Caldara entitled “The Martyrdom of San Terenziano” of which she premiered the arias at the Victoria International Festival in Malta. In 2021 the recording project “Eternal Feminine” was published by Orpheus Music which sees her engaged with the pianist Oh Yunwoo for the recording of pieces composed between 1850 and 1950 by particularly significant female composers on the international scene, including pianist Gilda Ruta which was conducted in concert by Arturo Toscanini, of which it will be possible to listen to unpublished pieces. She performed in ensemble with Emma Kirkby, Ashley Solomon, for early music. He regularly collaborates with the CivicAntiqua ensemble, Rosario Cicero, Stefano Palamidessi. Agility soprano and Mozartian, he includes in his repertoire numerous Hendelian titles including The Messiah and the motet O Qualis de Caelo Sonus, and Mozartians including the Krönugsmesse, the Vesperae Solemnes de Confessore, the Requiem in re m KV 626.
The multiple musical interests have also manifested themselves in the career as Choir Director which sees Annalisa Pellegrini engaged as preparer and director of the female choir used in the Roman concert by the electro-pop singer Dillon at the Sala Petrassi of the Parco della Musica during the 2017 tour “This Silence Kills “; in May 2019 he collaborates as director and preparer of the polyphonic choir and children’s choir, with the Berliner Philarmoniker orchestra (conducted by M ° Simon Halsey) at the Philarmonie auditorium in Berlin for the production of “There Was a Child” oratorio for solos, polyphonic choir, children’s choir and orchestra composed by J.Dove, a concert also broadcast on the Philarmonie’s online channel and documented by the national Rai news services; in December 2019 she was Choir Master for the Mozartiade production in collaboration with the Via Luce Orchestra (conducted by M ° Peter Vizard) in which the Vesperae Solemni de Confessore and the Coronation Mass by Mozart were performed in Paris at the Basilica of Saint Germaine. In 2022 he is Choir Master for the impressive production of the Perosian Year which sees over 100 musicians engaged in the performance of pieces composed by Lorenzo Perosi directed by Maestro Valentino Miserachs for a tour of Assisi – Upper Basilica and Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli, Todi – Duomo, and Rome – Basilica of SS Ambrogio and Carlo al Corso, a series of concerts included in the official events of the Perosian Year advertised by the Pontifical Sistine Chapel in Rome. Passionate scholar of ancient music, she published the essay “The musical production of the Giulia Chapel in the second half of the 1700s (between sacred and secular music)” for the Colligite Fragmenta series.
In addition to her concert activity as a soloist and choir director, she is strongly committed to teaching and musical organization. She holds singing and choir conducting masterclasses in Italy and abroad and in 2018 she was invited as a speaker at the Searching Festival – International Festival of Choral Music in Seoul, South Korea. She is President and Artistic Director of the Fabrica Musical Cultural Association. Harmonica (recipient of numerous national cultural calls including the SIAE 2018 call won in double category), of the Federico Cesi Musica Urbis Festival, founded in 2008 in Umbria and sponsored by the Senate of the Republic and the Civic School of Arts of Rome – Academy of Music recognized by the Rome II Municipality, active for over 12 years, an agreement with the Ottorino Respighi Conservatory of Latina and twinned with the Ravel Conservatoire of Paris, which boasts over 300 students enrolled in courses from preparatory to advanced specialization, a privileged venue for Central Italy of the ABRSM methodology of the English Royal Schools.
Annalisa Pellegrini, strongly committed to social issues and the creation of new cultural relations, convinced that music is a bridge between peoples, in 2016 she was awarded the prestigious title of Ambassador of Peace, in 2017 she received the WAW Award from the Rome I Municipality -Women in Art Week for her commitment to music training and in 2018 the Rome-Paris Association together with the XIIIme Arrondissement of Paris recognized the Fabrica Harmonica Association as one of the major players in the collaboration in the dialogue between Italian culture and that French awarding her the Levi Sandri 2018 prize. From 2010 to 2014 she was in charge of the programming of the Choreutic Arts of the Municipality of Rome II under the Marcucci Presidency and since 2011 she has been musical director of the Les Jours de France event in Rome – the only active cultural twinning between the City of Rome and the City of Paris, whose artistic direction is entrusted to Mme Jacqueline Zana Victor, insign eng of the Legion of Honor for Culture from the French Republic.
As a musical expert she was often invited to the Cultural Commission by the Diocesan Council of the Diocese of Orvieto-Todi during the years of direction of Don Alessandro Fortunati, Diocesan Vicar for Culture.
